1923 Firestone Tire and Rubber Company starts producing inflatable tires. Firestone promoted the use of motor driven trucks, the building of the American highway system, and the elimination of railroad grade crossings. In 1923 he introduced the balloon tire, which shortly became the standard for motor vehicles.

The Fireside Theater popularly known as Jane Wyman Presents is an anthological filmed series which became the first ever successful TV series in America. With stories from freelance writers, the low budget show was aired by NBC for the first time on April 5, 1949.

1997 Steve Irwin's "The Crocodile Hunter" debuts
The show premiered on American cable television network, Animal Planet in October 1996, followed by the official series premiere on April 5, 1997. The series ended on June 18, 2004, two-years before Irwin's death. He died on 4 September 2006 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming an underwater documentary film.
