Weekly Horoscope: Starting Monday, November 10, 2014
All Signs; There are several heavy duty planetary aspects this week and there is no sugarcoating this. It starts right on Monday and does not soften until Saturday. Run for cover! This energy will create ego conflicts, violence, arguments and strong rebellion. Definitely avoid dangerous neighborhoods and do not choose this week to have a Mexican standoff with anyone. The good news is this same energy can be used to do heavy work and work long, hard hours. Knowing this going into the week is half the battle. Just decide not to get caught up in a battle of wills with anyone. Be tolerant, patient and avoid sticky situations and bossy people. And if you feel the need to crayon on the wall - do it behind the sofa.

The rain was pouring and there was a big puddle in front
of the pub just outside the Air Force Base.
A ragged old Army Aviator was standing near the edge with
a fishing rod, his line in the puddle.
A curious young Air Force fighter pilot came over to
him and asked what he was doing.
'Fishing,' the old guy simply said.
'Poor old fool,' the Air Force officer thought and he invited
the ragged old aviator into the pub for a drink
As he felt he should start some conversation while they
were sipping their whiskey, the haughty fighter pilot asked,
'And how many have you caught?'
'You're the eighth,' the old Army Aviator answered.

The Holland Tunnel, 1st underwater tunnel, connecting NY to NJ opens.
The Holland Tunnel opened in 1927 as the first underwater vehicular
crossing of the Hudson River between Manhattan and Jersey City, New
Jersey. Once described as the "Eighth Wonder of the World," at the time
of completion it was the longest underwater vehicular tunnel. The Holland Tunnel formally opened on the afternoon of November 12, 1927 when President Calvin Coolidge used a golden telegraph key from his yacht in the Potomac River to part two large American flags draped over the entrances to the tunnel. Twenty thousand people walked through the tunnel during a two-hour period and viewed the engineering marvel before it was opened to vehicles at midnight.
ASCE and ASME formally designated the Holland Tunnel as a National Historic Civil and Mechanical Engineering Monument on May 2, 1984. Stretching 8,557 feet from portal to portal in the North Tube and 8,371 feet in the South Tube, the Holland Tunnel cost $48.5 million to build and the expenses were equally shared by states of New York and New Jersey. A total of 5,250 feet of the tunnel's length is located underwater at a maximum depth of 93.5 feet (28 m) below the surface. The Holland Tunnel relieved traffic strains on ferries crossing the Hudson River, which previously required a transit time of 18 minutes and sometimes required motorists to wait in line for hours. It also facilitated the transport of goods across the Hudson River, which had previously served as a barrier to shipping materials between New Jersey and New York City. 1st balloon crossing of Pacific is completed, Double Eagle V
Double Eagle V was the first balloon to make a successful crossing of the Pacific Ocean. It launched from Nagashima, Japan on November 10, 1981, and landed in Mendocino National Forest in California 84 hours and 31 minutes later, travelling a record 5,768 miles (9,283 km). The four-man crew consisted of Albuquerque balloonists Ben Abruzzo, Larry Newman, and Ron Clark, and thrill-seeking restauranteur Rocky Aoki, who helped fund the flight. Abruzzo and Newman had previously been two of the pilots of Double Eagle II, which in 1978 became the first balloon to cross the Atlantic. Double Eagle V failed to attract the same degree of media attention as the earlier flight, in part because it was overshadowed by the concurrent Space Shuttle mission STS-2.
